Online shopping for jade jewelry and Chinese jade

Jade has been considered a special stone in a lot of cultures. This is because of its unique properties as compared to other ornamental stones that lead to its unique cultural significance. For example, the Chinese revere the jade stone so highly that Chinese objects carved in Jade are known as Chinese jade and hold a mighty spiritual and cultural importance for the jade shop and the soft Jade is known as the China Jade for this reason only. This is because the Chinese believe that the jade stone stands for virtues of nobility, moral ethics, spiritual completeness, beauty, grace, and durability. For instance, its colour denotes morality, its polish represents brilliance, its transparency symbolizes purity, and the various elements of heaven and earth. Moreover, a lot of special properties have been assigned to the Chinese jade e.g. it is thought to possess healing properties both for the body and the soul which is why jade pendants, jade bangles were worn in ancient Chinese culture and are still worn. In fact, the Jade Buddha pendant represents universal peace and the merciful Lord Buddha. In the early Chinese culture, jade was used in carving objects such as pendants, beads, hooks, in weapons and other sculptural entities. However, there was another category of jade known as the Six Jades for Rituals, i.e. the cong, bi, gui, huang, hu, and zhang. The jade bi was a circular disk with a central hole; cong was a hollow cylinder, huang a half-ring pendant, blade like zhang and gui. All these represented the various elements or portions of the earth and the heavens and were essential for any sacrifice or ceremony although now they are primarily used as status symbols only but still are worn as pendants and necklaces etc. and are important ornamentally.Technically, the China Jade is the Nephrite stone which is softer than the Jadeite. This is because only the nephrite is found in China and the Jadeite has to be imported from Burma. But still jade is a source of pride and honour in Chinese culture even today. Jewelry shop is still used ornamentally as Jade pendants, jade bangles, etc. and also in gifts and presents to convey regards, affection, and love. However, while purchasing any jade jewellery one must make sure that the jade is grade A which is considered the best quality. This is because only the true jade possesses the special properties and not a normal stone. Therefore any ornament made from Chinese jade is must if one wants to feel the elegance and magic of the jade stone.
